Welcome to IAAP’s

West Virginia Division Website

The mission of the WV Division of the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP®) is to provide guidance, encouragement, support, and resources to administrative professionals throughout the state for continued professional development through active involvement in local chapter and division meetings.  Such involvement in a professional organization is essential to avoiding potholes in our pathway to success.

Focus on upgrading skills and continuing educational are essential to the survival of the administrative profession.  To ignore these requirements is like the ostrich who buries its head in the sand.  To resist these requirements assures being left behind.   Refusing to acknowledge and adapt to changes that have occurred, and will continue to occur at an overwhelming pace, in the corporate world can certainly increase the magnitude of any pothole in our path to success.

The good news is that we, as individuals, have the power to modify our career path at any given moment in order to avoid future obstacles and succeed at achieving our goals.  The key is realizing that we are dependent on something or someone to help create that clear, unobstructed path to success or provide us with the professional detour to avoid the fall.  As fewer companies are setting aside funds for training for administrative professionals, it becomes an individual responsibility to acquire the appropriate skills to maintain marketability.

For many, time is limited and financial resources are strapped.  So how do we gain access to the training and hands-on experience that we need?  The International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP®) plays a significant role in the development and attainment of career goals.  Membership and active participation in the IAAP provides an abundance of educational development resources and hands-on experience to advance the administrative profession to the next level, providing marketability that will persevere and transcend the potholes that career-minded administrative professionals may encounter on their journey to success.

As president of the WV Division, I encourage you to research the value of membership in the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP®).   It is with certainty that I can say you will be quite impressed with the benefits!  The WV Division Board and I look forward to welcoming you as a member of this elite professional organization as you embark upon an exciting adventure in your career development!
